Building on her scientific foundation with cross-sector experience in academia; non-profit external innovation programs and industry partnerships; intellectual property law; and scientific communications, Dr. Wong connects diverse stakeholders, ideas, and resources to build programs that develop healthcare solutions.

Dr. Wong led strategy, diligence, business development, and alliance operations for cell therapy and biomarker programs and public-private partnerships for nine years at JDRF, an international non-profit diabetes research-funding agency.

In addition, her roles in life sciences intellectual property strategy and patent prosecution at Darby & Darby, P.C.—as well as communicating scientific advances to a wide range of stakeholders—illustrate her scientific breadth and an aptitude for learning new areas.

Dr. Wong studied biology at Brown University, trained for her doctorate in cell and molecular biology at Duke, and held a postdoctoral fellowship in genetics and development at Columbia.
