Dr. Annette Wu is currently a scientist at Columbia University. In addition, she is a fellow of the Biomedical Science Exchange Program, Germany, a competitive program that enables about 15 students nationwide to participate in an exchange program between Germany and the US. Dr. Wu was the recipient of a 2-year grant of the German Research Foundation (DFG; a German NIH equivalent). Her postdoctoral research work was awarded with the International Young Investigator Award of the International Transplantation Society as one of 10 biennial awards awarded out of 3000 applicants. Dr. Wu trained in Transplantation Surgery and General Surgery in Hannover, Germany and at the Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School in Boston. She holds a doctorate degree in Transplantation Physiology from the Department of Cardiothoracic Transplantation form Hannover Medical School, Germany. Dr. Wu completed a fellowship in Transplantation Immunology at the Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School in Boston and obtained a Masters in Public Health degree with concentration in Healthcare Management at Columbia University in New York City.
