For more than 20 years, Evan Smith has been a leader/operator, advisor and consultant working with organizations to imagine, create and then go to the field (or go to market) successfully. His career is divided almost equally between major roles in corporations, and advisory work with leaders - in health care (and supporting industries), pharma, medical devices, technology, and other industries like chemicals, banking and selected others. He works with HITLAB and other organizations to help people bring new solutions to wicked problems.

In many settings, his work involves helping leaders shape their organization's transition from old business models to new ones - with the attendant processes of envisioning, reformation, change, learning injections and discoveries of new culture and behaviors. As an engineer, he helps leaders determine what's important, and how to measure - and how to go about creating the organization to deliver important results.  As a humanist, he helps people within the organization to adapt, discover and invent the new futures they'll inhabit.

Evan completed his MBA from the Yale school of Organization and Management.  He also holds a BA in General Arts & Sciences (High Distinction) and a BS in Industrial & Management Systems Engineering (High Distinction) from the Pennsylvania State University.
