What We Do
Collect Data <-> Create Ideas <-> Communicate Results
The overwhelming majority of HIT Lab’s budget is dedicated to the research process. A small fraction of the contributions that our organization accepts from donors go to overhead costs. We strive for transparency and efficacy in our collaboration with parties who provide us aid, and we work diligently to ensure that we deliver results timely and efficiently.
As a cross-disciplinary organization with varying levels of activity, the specific duties of our staff are fairly diverse. Each of our areas of research demands unique strategies and methods. Whether it is online, from other labs, or from our own experiments, we gather data through every means possible and use it innovate. We analyze, revise, and create new software, devices, procedures, and theories that can be used to improve modern healthcare.
The collection of data and the formulation of new ideas are at the forefront of our activities, but staff responsibilities extend further than this. Most notably, it is our job to not only innovate, but also to communicate our insights. Communication is a fundamental element in the Lab’s process, not an afterthought once our conclusions are drawn.
Since collaboration is part and parcel of our methodology, we arrive at conclusions which maximize our potential of all involved parties for making a positive impact. Maintaining active lines of communication with sponsors and collaborating institutions, issuing reports, and speaking publicly about our findings is the other key duty of HIT Lab’s staff.
