Esther Choo, MD MPH, is a board-certified physician and Associate Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Oregon Health & Science University. She completed residency at Boston Medical Center and a health services research fellowship at Oregon Health & Science University, then received a NIDA K23 Career Development Research Award while faculty in the Department of Emergency Medicine and School of Public Health at Brown University. Dr. Choo's research focuses on the use of technology to address health disparities and challenging health problems, including violence victimization and substance use disorders. She is Past President of the Academy of Women in Academic Emergency Medicine and a recipient of the Society of Academic Emergency Medicine's Young Investigator Award. She serves as a Senior Associate Editor for the journal Academic Emergency Medicine.
