Recently Diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes?

If yes, you may be eligible to participate in a research study seeking feedback from patients like you on your experiences performing home injections and monitoring your glucose level.  

•    Diagnosed with type 2 diabetes less than 1 year ago
•    Regularly take basal insulin injections
•    Own an iOS or Android smart phone
•    Are under 45 years old
•    Live in the New York metro area
•    Read, write, and speak in English

The study would require a 2-3 hour home visit and/or participation in a focus group. Participants will be compensated $150 at the end of each visit. 

Home Visit
1 day (August 1st – August 25th) 
Time: 2-3 hours
Location: Your Home
Note: Two researchers will be visiting. The home visit will include: 1) a brief interview 2) a presentation seeking feedback on of a future insulin injection product 3) an observation session to help us learn more about your diabetes management practices. 

Focus Group
Monday, August 7th
Time: 6pm – 8pm
Location: Washington Heights
Note: Dinner will be provided

HITLAB, an independent research group, is recruiting participants for a research study on diabetes management practices in order to inform the development of new technology. Your participation in this study is completely voluntary and all data will be kept anonymous. If you complete the study, which includes a home visit and/or focus group, you will receive $150 as compensation for each visit.
