As an independent research organization with a broad network of academic and industry professionals throughout the public health and healthcare ICT worlds, it is natural for HITLAB to bring together experts to discuss and develop innovative solutions to some of the healthcare’s most challenging issues.
At the behest of grant sponsors, we organize industry consortia – single events or series of meetings designed to clearly define an outstanding problem in healthcare delivery, establish research parameters, and recruit individuals with the innovative track record and experience needed to provide real-world solutions.
Our recent consortia include the Healthcare Technology Action Group, a gathering of leaders focused on advancing the innovative use of ICT to meet Healthy People 2020’s goals for controlling diabetes. HTAG’s membership includes a diverse array of experts in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors, all with a passion for tackling America’s diabetes epidemic. The group includes leaders in diabetes care and innovation from the American Diabetes Association; the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia; Johnson & Johnson; Prodigy Diabetes Care; Stanford University; the University of California, San Francisco; URS Corporation; WellPoint; and xLeo. You can find out more about the HTAG consortium in this For the Record article.
