Manager, Collaborations Alliances and Partnerships

Sabra’s primary role at HITLAB is Manager for all collaborations, alliances, and partnerships that HITLAB has with various key stakeholders in healthcare. She also contributes her skills in strategy, research, and evaluation to a number of HITLAB projects.

Before HITLAB, Sabra worked for the NYC Department of Health, UNDP, and Mercy Corps, from which she developed her commitment to global health issues, particularly in sexual and reproductive health. She spent 3+ years in the field addressing healthcare challenges in low-income and often politically volatile regions in India-Administered Kashmir, Pakistan, Peru, and the Dominican Republic.  Her exposure to digital technology interventions while working for Mercy Corps in India-Administered Kashmir propelled her into the world of digital health and innovation.

Sabra received her BA in Anthropology from Bryn Mawr College, a Seven-Sister Ivy, and her MPA from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs. When she is not in the Lab, Sabra is a program instructor for Bricks for Kidz, a nonprofit geared towards increasing STEM education using motorized Lego models. Sabra is also a member of the Policy Committee for the Public Health Association of North America and the Hip Hop Dance Conservatory of New York.
