The HIT Lab is a cross-disciplinary, public health technology research organization. With roots at Columbia University, the Lab's team today includes faculty, staff, students and alumni from top universities around the country. Using theoretical and applied public health research, the Lab develops innovation technological methods and tools that expand access and improve quality of medical care worldwide. With sponsorship from the public, private and non-profit sectors, the Lab is able to conduct diverse research in areas such as informatics,history, epidemiology, genomics, economics, social development, and government policy
