Smita Mukherjee is an Associate at Harlem Biospace, a newly established biotech incubator opened in collaboration with New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC), where she is working with different start-up companies to help with the technical design of products and the creation of business strategy. In addition to her scientific knowledge, she has expertise in commercialization of healthcare innovations and business aspects of the biotechnology industry. She has also been consistently active in various managerial and leadership positions in non-profit organizations and enjoys writing invited blogs at and Smita is enthusiastic about using her scientific and business acumen to mentor healthcare start-ups.

Smita Mukherjee has a PhD in Biological Chemistry from University of Pennsylvania and postdoctoral research experience in Alzheimer’s disease from University of Pittsburgh Medical School. She has published her research extensively and has presented at distinguished conferences and won several awards.
