Dr. Tracy Andrews

Dr. Tracy Andrews is currently working with a hospital to build a new ventricular assist device program.  She is the lead program development person for the project including program pro forma contract negotiation and education development.    Dr. Andrews has been in healthcare for more than 20 years with a focus on heart failure, complex cardiac surgery, and mechanical assistance devices. She enjoys process improvement within healthcare settings, program development, and economic consequences of extraneous utilization of resources.  Dr. Andrews completed her undergraduate studies at the University of North Carolina and completed 2 masters degrees from Duke University (acute care nurse practitioner and adult nurse practitioner with cardiovascular focus). She obtained her doctorate at Columbia University (DNP and subspecialty in genetics) and an MBA from East Carolina University. Dr. Andrews has also earned a certification as a lean six sigma black belt.
