Examples of our work


Validating the impact of a mobile tool in rural Ghana

A large-scale validation study of MOTECH Mobile Midwife, a mobile messaging program for pregnant women, to study the product’s impact on a range of health behaviors, knowledge, and attitudes. The cluster-controlled study assessed over 2,000 women over a two-year period, and results were used by the Ghanaian Health Service to scale up the intervention.

Defining post-disaster telecom systems in Haiti

Evaluation of the effectiveness and use of Haiti’s emergency cellular communications system following the 2010 earthquake. We performed on-the-ground research with emergency responders and health providers, and presented guidelines to the United Nations on how to improve deployment of telecom systems in future disasters.

Technology landscaping to help the Global Fund incorporate emerging technologies into their India programs. We evaluated startups with products detecting, preventing, or monitoring patients with MDR-TB in India, and offered advice on products to receive Global Fund support.
