Cancer care is increasingly challenged by complex treatment pathways, limited consultation time, variable health literacy, and growing demands on oncology providers. Effective communication during clinical consultations is essential for supporting informed decision-making, treatment adherence, patient satisfaction, and high-quality cancer care. A growing body of evidence demonstrates that visual and multimedia educational approaches improve patient understanding, recall, engagement, and shared decision-making compared with conventional verbal or printed education.

MyCareGorithm is a consultation-centered digital platform developed to enhance communication between oncology providers, patients, and caregivers through disease- specific visual education, structured consultation workflows, multimedia learning resources, and personalized post-consultation materials. Unlike conventional digital oncology solutions that primarily focus on electronic health records or care coordination, MyCareGorithm is designed specifically to improve the consultation experience by simplifying complex cancer information using interactive visual communication.

This report demonstrates that the platform aligns closely with current evidence-based recommendations for patient-centered oncology communication. The reviewed literature consistently identifies significant unmet needs related to patient understanding, health literacy, standardized communication, consultation efficiency, and caregiver engagement—all areas directly addressed by MyCareGorithm’s consultation-centered approach. Clinical evidence across multiple prospective pilot and implementation studies involving breast, prostate, pancreatic, and head and neck cancers demonstrates consistently positive outcomes. Across studies, patients reported improved understanding of their diagnosis and treatment options, enhanced consultation experiences, greater confidence in their care teams, increased willingness to recommend the platform, and high interest in reviewing educational content after consultations.

Providers similarly reported improved communication, greater consultation efficiency, and enhanced ability to explain complex oncology concepts, collectively supporting the platform’s potential to strengthen clinician–patient communication while improving consultation quality. The findings provide strong contextual validation for consultation-centered digital education platforms such as MyCareGorithm. The evidence also highlights the substantial economic burden associated with cancer care and the importance of interventions that improve communication, coordination, and consultation efficiency.

Beyond its clinical and educational benefits, MyCareGorithm aligns with several evidence-based pathways associated with value creation in oncology care. Independent literature demonstrates that patient education, navigation, and communication-support interventions can improve patient retention, reduce avoidable healthcare utilization, enhance consultation efficiency, and support more coordinated cancer care delivery. Given the substantial economic burden of cancer treatment and the increasing operational pressures facing oncology practices, consultation-centered communication platforms that improve understanding and engagement may provide meaningful value for healthcare organizations seeking to improve patient experience while supporting efficient care delivery…..
