Clinical documentation is essential to healthcare delivery but has become a major burden in acute and emergency care settings. Clinicians spend significant time on EHR-related tasks, increasing cognitive load, disrupting workflows, and reducing time available for direct patient care—contributing to burnout and inefficiencies. To systematically address these challenges, HITLAB conducted a heuristic evaluation of the Sayvant platform, an AI-powered ambient clinical documentation solution designed for acute care environments. This evaluation focuses on how effectively the platform reduces documentation burden, improves workflow efficiency, and supports real-time clinical decision-making
